Diamond in the Muff

Here’s the most recent art piece I’ve worked on. It is currently in the art show of April Flores Toy being curated by Carlos Batts. The photo styling angle on the right is courtesy of Coyote Days from Good Vibrations in San Francisco.  Carol asked for the mirror – we set the display and the next thing you know Coyote was calling me over and showing me her photo image of the piece. She gets creative right for the virtual kitty on it’s back. Dina Fayer was also part of the physical creation taking a three day vacation to help me make it upstairs, keeping me fed, watered and rested. And also keep me from falling down while at the same time fetching, helping with design and advising on adhesives and materials. She signed the bottom as a one of the artists collaborating on this piece. Oh and thank you to our cat eye model Mme. Princess Teacup Bouvier for the great cat eyes photo – you rock kitty, it was a great shoot.

It’s mixed media – gold leaf, canvas, rhinestones and diamond on a plaster cast of April Flores.
